What is Fast Transfer?

Fast Transfer is a service offered by Afternic that allows domain owners to sell their domains quickly and easily by enabling immediate domain transfers to the buyer. When a domain with Fast Transfer enabled is sold, the domain is transferred to the buyer instantly.

How does Fast Transfer Work?

If a domain meets the criteria for Fast Transfer, you can opt-in to have your domains automatically transferred to the buyer without any further action on your side.

Domain names exposed through the Afternic Premium Network are required to be enabled for Fast Transfer. Fast Transfer domains reach 85 million searches by prospective buyers each month and generate the highest average sales price.

There are two key benefits that come with having a Fast Transfer domain:

  1. The domain is listed with the largest domain resellers, so more potential buyers see it.
  2. The domain can be transferred immediately, which buyers love because they get immediate control of the domain after they buy it.

Are my domains eligible for Fast Transfer? 

Fast transfer is available for .com, .co, .net, .org, .de, .biz, .pw, .io, .xyz and .info domain names that have a Buy Now price set below $100,000. The domain must also be registered for 60 days or longer with a Fast Transfer supported registrar, and must not be within 30 days of expiration or under a 60-day lock.

What happens if my domains aren’t eligible for Fast Transfer? 

If your domain does not meet the criteria for Fast Transfer, it will be promoted as a Manual Transfer through the Standard Network and given exposure to more than 30 million monthly domain search queries.  

Where do Standard Network listings appear? 

Standard Network listings are given exposure to more than 30 million monthly domain search queries from our global network of domain resellers. Where do Premium Network listings appear?

Domain names get exposure through the Standard Network resellers, plus promotion on 8 out of the top 10 domain registrars in the world. This amounts to over 85 million monthly search queries from the largest domain reseller network in the world. Domain names must be enabled for Fast Transfer to be exposed on the Premium Network.  

Is there a difference in sales commission between Standard & Premium Network? 

No. Standard commission of 25% or 15% reduced commission of sales price when using GoDaddy Aftermarket supported nameservers ($15 minimum) applies for names sold through both the Standard and Premium Network.
