Seller pays normal registrar transfer fees if any. Buyer pays Seller only the sale price plus tax if required unless Buyer requests special services such as express delivery of papers.
There are four prices that can be set by the Seller:
- Minimum Offer - This is the lowest offer that a buyer is allowed to make for a domain name. Sellers are not obligated to sell a domain name for this price unless the Reserve Price or Buy Now Price is met.
- Buy Now Price - When an offer meets this price, the domain listing will end immediately with a sale. A buyer paying the Buy Now Price will secure the domain name immediately, without the risk of being outbid. Sellers who do not want to obligate themselves to an automatic sale do not have to set a Buy Now Price.
- Reserve Price - The Reserve Price is a threshold set by a domain seller so that any offer meeting or exceeding the Reserve Price will force the domain into a 7 day closing soon auction. Closing Soon auctions appear on the buy page and provide additional exposure to maximize final sales price.
- Floor Price - The Floor Price is a binding, minimum price for which you are willing to sell your domain through your dedicated sales representative or Afternic's resellers.
While Buy Now, Reserve, and Floor Prices are optional for DLS Network, DLS Premium promotion requires a "Buy Now Price". You can edit any of these prices before an offer exists for a listing. However, Reserve Prices cannot be changed once an offer meeting or exceeding the reserve has been received. The "Buy Now Price" cannot be changed once an offer meeting that price has been received.
Offers expire in seven (7) days if they are not accepted and do not meet the reserve price. An initial offer meeting the Reserve Price starts a seven-day auction.
Auctions are only extended when a bid is received within the last five minutes. Bids received in the last five minutes of an auction will cause the auction clock to be set to five minutes.
Proxy Bidding - With auctions ending around the clock, buyers may not able to monitor all auctions of interest. All "Closing Soon" auctions use proxy bidding, which allows buyers to place a pre-set high bid in advance.
You can raise your proxy bid without changing the current bid amount. Afternic will automatically place bids for you up to your proxy bid amount only when required to exceed another member's bid.
